The Coming of the Kingdom

Gary DeLashmutt
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

Jesus' disciples ask Him about the end times, including: the destruction of the Temple, His coming, and the end of the age. Jesus lets them know that no one will know the time in human history that these events will occur. Jesus reveals that the temple will be destroyed and rebuilt. Before the end of the age the gospel will be spread to all people groups and the Antichrist will come and perform the abomination of desolation. When these things have occurred Jesus will return in the sky with great power. Jesus then calls His believers to be on alert and ready for His second coming.

What About Israel? (Part 2)

Jim Leffel
Romans 10-11

God has ushered in a unique time of human history when He will work through the nations to accomplish His purposes. Nevertheless, God has not forgotten Israel and is committed to using them in the future. His future plan brings to light the principles of understanding versus hearing, where the Jewish people stand in terms of God's grace, and what happens to people who haven't heard about Christ. God's relentless love is pursuing all people through the message of Jesus Christ.

What Does the Future Hold?

Dennis McCallum
1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11

Paul contrasts depression and the fear of death with the hope believers have in Christ's resurrection. Death for people who have put their faith in Christ will look much different than the picture many people fear. God has established clues for when the entire planet will reach an end, so believers have evidence that there is an urgency to telling other people about God.

Nimrod and Babylon

Dennis McCallum
Genesis 11:1-9

Babylon decided to build a tower together. It was a symbol of a culture apart from God, so God distributed different languages among them so they would not finish it. The human desire to have a united world system on Earth has not been recognized so far in history, but the Bible does say that it will happen near the End Times. The world today is headed toward this unification, as studied through several current factors.

The End of the Wolrd

Dennis McCallum
2 Peter 3:1-8

There will be a second coming of Christ. If there were no second coming, there would be no answer to the problem of evil, Jesus Christ would lose all credibility, and the Bible could not be believed.

God's Eternal Kingdom

Gary DeLashmutt
Revelation 21-22

Heaven should be every Christ follower's focus and aim, but unfortunately there are many misconceptions about it. Contrary to popular belief, the Bible describes heaven as a physical place which we will enjoy in unique physical bodies. We will have endless time to enjoy one another and accomplish meaningful work in God's perfect, restored creation! There will no longer be any evil, sadness, sin or damage. Amazingly, all of this is available to you for free if you personally receive God's forgiveness through Jesus's death for your sins!

The Victorious Return of Jesus

Gary DeLashmutt
Revelation 19:11-20:10

Jesus' second coming will be the most dramatic event in human history, and will bring an end to human history as we know it. Unlike his humble first coming, Jesus will come again in great power, with a host of angels and redeemed humans, crowned with universal dominion, and will triumph completely over all of His enemies forever! Jesus will reign for 1,000 years before he finally sends Satan into eternal judgment, which sets the stage for the final judgment of humanity.

The Whore of Babylon

Gary DeLashmutt
Revelation 18

This prophecy introduces us to another evil character in the End Times, the "Whore of Babylon", that is used to describe the judgment that God will carry out on the earth. She embodies the spiritual adultery of Israel and the apostate Church's worship of idols as history comes to a close. Also described as "Babylon the Great", she represents fallen humanity's determination to construct a society without a need for God by accumulating material wealth, comforts, and technology. Don't be deceived by the appeal of Babylon; turn to Jesus Christ, who is the source of true fulfillment!

The Beast

Gary DeLashmutt
Revelation 19:19-20

This passage predicts the rise and fall of the key human instrument of Satan during the End Times - the beast (or the "Antichrist"). The beast will emerge from a revived form of the Roman Empire, will be raised up and energized by Satan, will have world-wide dominion, will blaspheme God, will persecute Christians, and will finally be defeated by Jesus upon His return. Don't respond to this prophecy with skepticism, obsession, or fear. Rather, be confident in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who is in control.
